Feelin Da BlogRush Yet?
I installed the BlogRush blog traffic widget after reading about it 2 weeks ago before it even launched. The idea did not appeal to me at first. I thought it was just another ancient MLM Traffic Exchange resurrected for the Blogosphere. Just great. A perfect Blog spam nightmare was about to happen.
Upon its release BlogRush generated quite a stampede, not just a rush. I refrained from joining the pack for as long as I could. Eventually, curiosity got the better of this cat and I installed it here on Marlamar.
I’ve been pretty busy the past couple of days so I did not have a chance to check my stats in Wordpress. When I did, I wondered what the devil happened. Did I get hit by Spam bots or something? Mysteriously, no. Puzzled, I returned to the front page of the site and went..
OOhh. BlogRush! Suddenly I was feelin da rush. Of traffic, that is. And I made the following discoveries too.
- I’ve seen some pretty interesting stuff, and discovered new Blogs I might not have seen other wise. That’s pretty cool. The tool works for blog socializing, traffic and potential backlinks. Niccee.
- The Spammy Bloggers never quit. A pretty long email from John Reece, developer of BlogRush on the subject ‘Shocking Changes At BlogRush‘ reminded me of my early fears of how the Spammers would be using this tool. And sure enough, he made some pretty strong statements in that regard.
- This widget delivers on its promises after all. Interestingly, it tells me something about the subjects that persons are interested in too. I installed the widget on another Blog and have not received half the visits as I’ve already gotten here. Naturally, it prompted me to get over here as quickly as possible. So Blogrush gets an A for inspiring a new post. An increase in Blog Traffic is absolutely motivating.
BlogRush should do even better in the future, once Reece sorts out the present start-up snags that they are experiencing right now. If you haven’t already done so. Go sign up right now and get your own BlogRush Flavour. When you get there you’ll know what that is.
